SW1’s Sure Start Children’s Centre runs a programme to improve the quality of life for children from birth through to five years of age and their families. Activities include ante-natal yoga, baby massage for dads and music and movement for children under 5.
Walking for health schemes have been set up with qualified walk leaders. The walks provide regular exercise that is beneficial for health (for example, from controlling weight to reducing the risk of a range of diseases, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and others). Both the Abbey Centre and A Moveable Feast run Walking for Health programmes in SW1.
