CityWest Homes offers modern apprenticeships in construction and housing, business administration and Information Technology for people of all ages. Advisors focus their service on three different age groups: 14-19 year olds, 16-25 years; and in conjunction with Westminster Works provide a more generalised service to adults above these ages. The apprenticeship gives people the opportunity to earn a salary and train for a qualification.
Crisis Employment Services works to help get single homeless people into meaningful, sustainable employment leading to a home, stability and better quality of life. They can provide specialist training opportunities for clients to help support them into worthwhile career paths. They provide information and advice, guidance and their Work and Learning Coaches work closely with individuals to achieve their goals of employment. Crisis Employment Service also works in partnership with prospective employers to help fill skills gaps within a company by recruiting skilled and highly motivated candidates.

Jobcentre Plus is a government agency supporting people of working age (18-65) from welfare into work, and helping employers to fill their vacancies. Jobcentre Plus customers will primarily be in receipt of one of three benefits: Job Seekers Allowance (Unemployed); Employment Support Allowance previously Incapacity Benefit (Sick or disabled and unable to work); Income Support (low income /lone parents).

Jobseeker Direct is a quick and easy phone service which keeps you in touch with the latest job vacancies and helps you find the job that's right for you. Once you find a job you're interested in, Jobseeker direct will tell you how to apply. They'll send you an application form and, where possible, ring the Employer there and then to arrange an interview.
This service is available to anyone who is looking for work, and the lines are open weekdays 8.00am - 6.00pm, and Saturdays 9.00am - 1.00pm. All calls are charged at local rates. In order to speed up the search carried out by the operators, it would be helpful if you had the following information ready when you ring: full address, National Insurance number, date of birth and vacancy job reference.

Westminster Works is a new service to help local people into work and training. It has a team of 14 specialists who know about local jobs and what employers are looking for. When you make contact with Westminster Works, you meet your own personal advisor who will remain your special link person for as long as you remain on the programme. If you need more training, your advisor will help you to find the right place to study and they can also help with work placements. If you are ready to go to work straight away, they will look for suitable vacancies and help with tips for your application form and practice for the interview.
