Home Start Westminster offers support to families living in Westminster with at least one child under 5.
We match families with fully trained, CRB checked volunteers who usually visit once a week for a couple of hours and work alongside the parents providing non-judgmental emotional and practical support.
Our focus is preventative work, so we support parents as the first educators of their child using attunement and strengthening attachment.
We also provide additional support for these families in many ways, including family groups, family outings and advocacy support.
These services are primarily for individuals who do not have a fixed address, or who are having difficulty in registering with a GP surgery for any other reason.
