The Partnership brings together over sixty different organisations from the statutory, voluntary and business sectors to support and deliver renewal activities in south Westminster. It aims to improve services and opportunities for residents living in deprived areas in SW1, and the Partnership would like to get more residents involved in identifying and addressing local issues. There are numerous Tenant and Residents Associations across SW1, formed by residents living in the same block, estate or street coming together to represent their mutual interests. Some represent council estates (managed by CityWest Homes), some housing association properties, and some represent people who own or rent properties in the same street or local area.

If you live on either the Grosvenor and Regency estates, Millbank estate or in Hide Tower you can get involved in the management of your home. Tenant management organisations (TMOs) manage homes on behalf of the Council. They negotiate a management agreement, which sets out what services they will provide and how much they will be paid to run the service. For more information please visit the CityWest Homes website.
There are more than ten housing associations in SW1 and each has different ways of involving their residents in the management of their homes and having a say about local services. If you live in a housing association property and would like to find out more about having a say in the way your home is managed, you should contact your Housing Association directly. Neighbourhood Watch is a scheme where groups of householders come together under one resident co-ordinator, who maintains links with the authorities. People are encouraged to remain vigilant and to report suspicious activities. Safer Neighbourhoods provides local policing, with police and partners working with residents, to identify and tackle issues of concern in neighbourhoods. Each ward in SW1 has a Safer Neighbourhoods Team and a ward panel, which resident representatives. The ward panel meets the Safer Neighbourhoods police team to discuss local priorities and issues of concern. They provide local views on the policing agenda and assist with decision-making and problem solving.
